'Blue Sky' (Ghana)

Women stand in the shallows beneath a deep blue sky. Beached on the shore, a fishing boat is ready to put to sea. A fisherman once explained to me that the blue sky symbolizes a potential great catch, artist Francis Amoah says. What I try to convey in my painting is the liberating phenomenon of the sea.
